Deleting your account
Last updated 9 September 2026
Inside the app
- Open your profile and tap the gear in the top corner.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. There is no waiting period and no email to answer: the account is gone the moment you confirm.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in — the account identifier, the email address attached to it and the link to Apple or Google.
- Your profile: display name and badge.
- Your league standing, your weekly results and your place in every group you had joined.
- Groups you created, if you delete them first — otherwise they stay for their members. Deleting a group is in the group itself, and it removes it for everyone.
What stays, and why
- Everything on your device. Charts, stitching, photos and settings are not touched — deleting the account does not wipe your work. To remove that as well, delete the app; if iCloud sync was on, also remove Stitchkin’s data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
- Support messages and moderation reports stay, with the link to you removed — nobody can tell afterwards whose they were. They are kept because bug reports and moderation decisions have to survive the account they came from. Anything you typed into a message stays as you wrote it.
- Purchase records held by Apple, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription — only Apple can do that. Cancel it first in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Stitchkin, or from inside the app in Settings → Manage subscription, otherwise it keeps renewing.
If you cannot get into the app
Write to support@stitchkin.com from the email address the account uses, with the words “delete my account”. We do it within 30 days — usually the same day — and confirm by email when it is done. If your address is hidden behind Apple’s private relay, write from that relay address so we can match it to the account.
Coming back
Nothing stops you: sign in again and a fresh account is created. It starts empty — a new display name, no league history — while the charts on your device are exactly where you left them.
